  • Background risk = 1 in 1000 = 0.1%

  • BRCA2 = lifetime risk is 1 in 25 = 4%

  • BRCA1 = 1 in 250 = 0.4%

Ovarian Cancer

  • BRCA1 = 39 to 59%

  • BRCA2 = 11 to 20%

Fallopian Tube

  • BRCA1/2 = 0.6%

  • Background risk = 0.2%

Primary Peritoneal

  • BRCA1/2 = 1.3%

  • Background risk = Not known

Endometrial

  • BRCA1/2 = Small increased risk but conflicting data

Pancreas

  • BRCA1 = 1 to 3%

  • BRCA2 = 2 to 5%

Prostate

  • BRCA2 = Increase risk by 5 to 9 times

Colorectal

  • Data inconsistent

Melanoma

  • BRCA2 associated with melanoma but risk not well characterised

  • BRCA1 = No clear association

  • BRCA2 = increase risk of uveal melanoma

Stomach / Biliary

  • BRCA2 = Lifetime risk = 3.5%

  • In Japan - BRCA1/2 showed risk up to 20%
